This is a weight optimized forged steel piston. The biggest advantage of this piston structure type is: The reduction of compression height (not more than 50% of the diameter of the cylinder), and the distance between the pin bosses makes the piston weight almost similar to the aluminum alloy piston which applies piston pin. It is the biggest advantage of this piston structure type. A cooling chamber is set outside of the piston, in order to improve the cooling conditions.
